Art has the beautiful power to inspire confidence and joy in every child when given the right tools and inspiration!

I have been teaching art for nine years, four through an after school art program for elementary aged students and five in the public school setting with secondary students. I am passionate about student voice and pride myself in my choice based approaches to art education. I believe when given the platform children will rise to the occasion and develop a strong sense of self and steady voice through art. 

I received a Bachelors of Science in Art Education from Texas Woman's University. I received my K-12 Art teaching Certification with the state of Texas and have had the privilege to teach in the Forney and Plano School systems. I have also served the Denton community through the Greater Denton Arts Council After School programming. 

Following my dream, I am elated to offer Private Art lessons (& classes soon) to the North Texas community! I cannot wait to come alongside families and support their student's artistic talents.
